An honest review of Hyatt Regency London Stratford, covering the rooms, breakfast, location and whether this £180 London hotel is worth it.

Hyatt Regency London Stratford

First impressions

Arriving at the Hyatt Regency London Stratford, the first thing that stands out is how convenient everything feels.

You’re right next to Westfield Stratford City, and the whole area is packed with shops, restaurants and transport links. It immediately feels like an easy place to base yourself if you’re staying in London.

The hotel itself feels modern and well presented from the moment you walk in. It’s got that polished, reliable feel you’d expect from a brand like Hyatt.

Check-in was smooth, no issues, and overall the first impression is strong.

Location

This is one of the biggest selling points of this hotel.

You’re surrounded by:

  • Westfield Stratford City
  • bars and restaurants
  • Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
  • Stratford station with excellent transport links

That means you can get pretty much anywhere in London quickly, while still having everything you need right on your doorstep.

It’s not central London, but in terms of convenience, it works really well.

The room

The room is exactly what you’d expect from a hotel at this level.

It’s modern, clean and well put together, with a layout that just works.

The standout here is the bed.

Easily one of the best night’s sleeps I’ve had on the channel. Properly comfortable, which makes a big difference, especially if you’ve been out all day in London.

The bathroom is also a highlight. It feels well finished and a step above what you’d normally expect from a standard city hotel.

What could be better

There are a few small things that stand out once you’ve settled in.

The lack of a minibar is a bit surprising for a hotel in this price range. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something you’d usually expect to be there.

There were also a few minor signs of wear and tear in places. Nothing major, but enough to notice.

The on-site shop was another small letdown. It felt understocked during the stay, which limits its usefulness if you need something quickly.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the price here, and overall it’s very good.

There’s a decent selection, and the quality is solid.

The only issue was that some items weren’t always replenished as quickly as they could have been, but to be fair, staff were quick to sort it once it was noticed.

So while it’s not perfect, it’s still a strong part of the stay.

Value for money

At around £180 per night including breakfast, this sits in that mid-to-upper range for London hotels.

What you’re paying for:

  • a very convenient location
  • a modern, well-presented room
  • a genuinely comfortable stay

It’s not cheap, but it doesn’t feel overpriced either.

Compared to other London options, it holds up fairly well.

Who this hotel is for

This hotel makes sense if:

  • you want easy access to transport across London
  • you like having shops and restaurants right next to you
  • you want a reliable, comfortable stay

It’s a good fit for:

  • city breaks
  • short stays
  • business travel

It might not be ideal if:

  • you specifically want to stay in central London
  • or you’re looking for something more premium or luxury-focused

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Excellent Stratford location
  • Very comfortable bed
  • Modern, clean rooms
  • Good breakfast included

Cons

  • No minibar
  • Minor signs of wear and tear
  • On-site shop felt understocked

Final thoughts

The Hyatt Regency London Stratford is a really solid all-round hotel.

It gets the important things right. Comfortable rooms, great location, and a stay that feels easy from start to finish.

It’s not perfect, and there are a few small things that could be improved, but nothing that really takes away from the overall experience.

At £180 per night, it comes down to what you value.

If location, comfort and convenience matter to you, this is a strong option.

And it’s definitely somewhere I’d consider staying again.
